About the job Business Analyst
Responsibilities
- Interacting with customers and market to understand their needs, translating the requirements into product features; writing product specifications and managing the product backlog
- Giving directions to solution team preparing solutions for building new product features
- Closely interacting with engineers and unblocking without any delay and highlighting the risk to stake holders
- Create detailed use cases, business requirements, and marketing requirements
- Coordinate the collection, description, analysis and prioritisation of requests for new product functionality from the customer
- Coordinating with internal stakeholders including the development, Quality Analysis and Product Support teams
- Perform UAT and product demonstration sessions to the client and end user
- Work along with the Product Management team, Marketing team and Pre-Sales team to understand the market needs
- Involve in product roadmap evaluation along with Product Management team
- Interact with users, gather user requirements, understand business impact and formulate execution plans with the team
- Prepare system specifications and business requirement document
- Define sprint backlog, maintain Sprint plans and monitor Sprint throughout
- Help design, build, document, and maintain system processes
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to the product team
- Communicate key insights and findings to the product team and top management
- Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve the system, discover issues, and deliver better value to the customer
- Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimise and enhance our integration
Requirements
- Engineering Background (MBA would be desirable)
- 1 year of experience in the area of business analysis / product owning with a top tier software product firm with a focus on Human Capital and Workforce management
- Previous experience in performing BA activities for enterprise software with business workflows and business rules
- Requirements elicitation using appropriate techniques, through sustained interactions with business team and users
- Good Experience working in Agile development projects /Agile Product development projects is a MUST
- Good Experience in preparing BRS and SRS
- Good Experience working on user stories and product backlogs with JIRA, TFS, or any other agile tools is MUST
- Knowledge of the Malaysian education and employment system would be an added advantage
- Experience working with Malaysian clients would be an added advantage
- You need to be creative at conceiving product solutions that allow end users to use our product more efficiently in their daily usage
- You must have excellent skills for working in cross-functional teams of Software Development, Quality Assurance, and Product Support
