Location: Dodge Center, MN
Shift: 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday: 5:00 PM 3:30 AM; Friday: 8-hour shift as scheduled). Weekend hours as needed for project completion.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Senior Welder to join our Tooling team as a Senior Tooling Technician. This is a hands-on, direct-hire role for a problem-solver who takes pride in building precision, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring production has the reliable tools and fixtures needed to succeed. You will be the expert responsible for constructing new fixtures from drawings, performing advanced repairs, and maintaining a vast array of production tooling.
What You Will Do:
- Build & Fabricate: Construct new jigs, fixtures, and tools from 2D drawings and GD&T blueprints to support engineering change notices and new product launches.
- Expert Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on production tooling and equipment.
- Maintain & Improve: Perform preventive maintenance on jigs and fixtures to ensure safety, quality, and uptime.
- Operate & Utilize: Safely operate a wide range of equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, CNC lathes/mills, and standard shop machinery (drill press, saws).
- Lead & Support: Assist in training new team members and collaborate closely with engineers to implement improvements and new strategies.
- Uphold Standards: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols (SMS).
What You Must Have (Non-Negotiable):
- Certification as a Welder with a minimum of 5 years of professional welding experience.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including GD&T.
- Proven experience in metal fabrication, mechanical repair, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to frequently lift and manipulate objects weighing up to 80 lbs.
- Excellent attendance, safety mindset, and willingness to work required overtime.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Skills):
- Experience programming and/or operating CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Formal training or certification in hydraulics/pneumatics.
- A history of mentorship or on-the-job training of others.

Package Details
Shift Differential: +$2.00/hour for 2nd shift hours.
Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour (approx. $47,000 - $58,000 annually), based on experience.
