Job brief
Cloud consultants are experts who help organizations plan, design and implement cloud-based systems and services. They may also be called upon to provide ongoing support and maintenance once these systems are in place.
The role of a cloud consultant can vary greatly depending on the needs of their client organization. Some may focus primarily on sales and marketing, while others may take a more hands-on approach and get involved with implementation or even day-to-day operations.
Requirements
HP Storage At least 4 years experience in / detailed knowledge of at least one of the following Cloud HCM products Detailed understanding of the cloud industry and market, familiar with telecom infrastructure virtualization terms like scale-out, scale-up, scale-in, automation, cloud management and related business models IaaS, PaaS & SaaS Expected to travel 50-75% of the time globally Basic knowledge in consulting and client interactions VCP & VCAP DCA/DCD
Responsibilities
- Acting as a liaison between client and cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
- Evaluating clients current infrastructure to determine if they are ready to move to the cloud
- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications in a cloud computing environment
- Providing support for users who have issues with their applications or storing data in the cloud
- Conducting security audits to ensure that client data is safe in the cloud
- Recommending appropriate cloud computing solutions based on needs and budget
- Consulting with clients to develop a roadmap for migrating to the cloud
- Evaluating the security of a companys data in the cloud or on mobile devices
- Planning and executing migration from on-premise to the cloud
