Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer requires:
Onsite M-F
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related engineering field.
7 years professional work experience
3 years or more of work experience in Electrical & Instrumentation design
Proficient with AutoCAD
Understanding of OSHA, NFPA, NEC, engineering standards
Working knowledge of controls systems (Rockwell, Siemens, etc.)
Working knowledge of controls protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
Working knowledge of the different elements of an electrical cabinet Understanding of motor controls and VFDs
Understand how to size components (fuses, disconnects, power supplies, arc flash, etc.)
Understanding of how to perform an electrical/controls safety review.
ISA standard experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer duties:
Maintain technical knowledge of 13.2kV, 4.16kV and 480V switchgear, protective relay application and testing, 480V motor control centers and motors, 120VAC uninterruptible power systems. Lead site electrical safety team and maintain site arch-flash analysis.
Develop, design and document applications of instrumentation and control systems to integrate with the existing PLC and distributed control systems here at the plant.
Evaluate the existing instrumentation and utilizing engineering design practices.
