Sr Azure Solution Architect needs 8 years experience architecting and implementing Azure cloud solutions.

Sr Azure Solution Architect requires:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex migrations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with Azure cloud technologies and migration strategies.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools (ARM templates, Terraform) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and server less computing.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
  • ITIL Foundations certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of Azure services (Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, etc.) and their integration.
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and experience with automation frameworks.
  • Experience delivering IT services in support of a biomedical research environment.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Google Cloud Professional Certification, PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).

Sr Azure Solution Architect duties:

  • Monitor cloud performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Conduct regular reviews of cloud infrastructure and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that cloud solutions are highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster-resilient.
  • Design and implement cloud security controls to protect data and applications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address potential risks.
