Position Title: Senior Management Accountant
Location: Philadelphia, PA

Position Overview:

The Senior Management Accountant will be responsible for establishing and leading the accounting and finance function for the U.S. operations, while coordinating closely with the parent company in China. The role requires solid technical expertise in accounting and compliance, as well as the ability to design and implement financial systems, optimize business processes, and serve as a trusted partner to management. The ideal candidate will bring strong cross-border finance experience, a proven track record of building financial functions, and the ability to operate effectively in a bilingual (English/Mandarin) environment.

Compensation:

  • Starting base salary: USD $90,000+ (commensurate with experience)
  • Performance-based bonuses

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute the financial accounting system from the ground up, ensuring compliance with U.S. and Chinese accounting standards; manage consolidation and conversions between the two.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements to the parent company in China, and support annual audits.
  • Participate in the implementation of business information systems and support the digitalization of business data.
  • Maintain professional relationships with banks, tax authorities and external auditors in the U.S.
  • Develop and optimize financial policies and procedures for our U.S. factory, including risk control over business operations, contracts and cash management.
  • Perform other financial tasks as needed to support business requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience leading a finance function; experience in manufacturing or industrial finance is preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin; capable of using Mandarin as a working language.
  • Detail-oriented, conscientious and highly responsible.

Professional Skills & Experience:

  • Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Chinese accounting standards.
  • Experience in financial reporting, audits, and risk control.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Hands-on with ERP/financial systems; comfortable with digital tools.
  • Ability to lead projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills:

  • Mandarin Chinese: Professional working proficiency.
  • English: Strong written and verbal communication.
