Title: Jr. Software Engineer (Java / Python)

Glint Tech Solutions is hiring a Jr. Software Engineer (Java / Python) to support a leading federal defense contractor. This role involves developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems in a highly secure and scalable environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy software applications using Java and Python
Perform infrastructure requirements analysis and contribute to system design
Maintain hardware, software, and related project components
Enhance existing applications and build new software solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across development, operations, and security
Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge sharing artifacts

Required Qualifications:
Must be a US Citizen (government requirement)
Willingness to obtain DoD Secret / Top Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or STEM field with 2+ years of experience (or Master's with 6+ months experience)
Experience working in Agile/Scaled Agile environments

Technical Skills:

Programming & Development:
Strong proficiency in Java and Python
Experience with API design, development, and testing
Understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile methodologies

DevOps & Cloud:
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automation
Experience with AWS (EKS, EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM, etc.); Azure is a plus
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Security:
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, PKI, encryption, and compliance
Experience with vulnerability management, SIEM (Splunk), and monitoring tools

Tools & Technologies:
CI/CD: GitLab, ArgoCD, Ansible, Terragrunt, Maven
Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack
Version Control: Git, Jira, Confluence

AI & Automation:
Experience with AI tools and prompt engineering to improve development efficiency

Nice to Have:
AWS Certification (Solutions Architect preferred)
Experience with defense or government projects
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
