Project Description
Our client, a growing technology organization, is seeking a skilled iOS Developer for an onsite engagement across one of four key locations — California, Washington, New York, or New Jersey. This role is focused on designing, developing, and shipping high-quality iOS applications for enterprise and consumer audiences. The ideal candidate brings strong Swift/SwiftUI expertise, a product-minded approach to development, and a proven track record of delivering polished, performant mobile applications from concept through App Store release. Only candidates currently residing in CA, WA, NY, or NJ will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
- Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs to enable seamless backend connectivity
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to deliver cohesive user experiences
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code aligned with team engineering standards
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices
- Optimize application performance including memory management, load times, and battery efficiency
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for iOS builds and deployments using Xcode Cloud or Fastlane
- Ensure adherence to app security best practices and data privacy requirements
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects and production issues efficiently
- Stay current with Apple platform releases, new frameworks, and evolving mobile development trends
Mandatory Skills
- Strong proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI
- Solid experience building and shipping iOS applications (consumer or enterprise)
- Deep knowledge of iOS frameworks including UIKit, CoreData, CoreLocation, and Push Notifications
- Experience with RESTful API integration and third-party SDK implementation
- Familiarity with Xcode, TestFlight, and App Store submission workflows
- Understanding of iOS architectural patterns such as MVVM or MVC
- Version control experience using Git
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Objective-C experience
- Experience with GraphQL or WebSocket implementations
- Familiarity with SwiftData or the Combine framework
- Exposure to cross-platform mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter
- Published App Store applications in personal or professional portfolio
- Background in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industry environments
