Position Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (ME) to lead NPI line setup, process implementation, and production readiness in the U.S.
In this role, you will be responsible for translating product and process designs into fully operational, scalable production lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership of shop floor execution.
Key Responsibilities
NPI Line Setup & Production Launch
- Lead the setup of NPI and pilot production lines in the U.S.
- Define and implement line layouts, workflows, workstations, and tooling
- Develop SOPs and support build phases (EVT / DVT / PVT) through production ramp
Equipment Installation & Qualification
- Coordinate installation, commissioning, and validation of manufacturing equipment
- Partner with vendors and internal teams on equipment selection and process capability validation
- Ensure equipment readiness and stability for mass production
Process Implementation & Optimization
- Implement manufacturing processes defined by PDE and global teams
- Continuously optimize processes for yield, cycle time, and cost efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production
Production Monitoring & Control
- Track and analyze production performance (yield, throughput, downtime)
- Identify issues and drive corrective actions in real time
- Establish and maintain production metrics and reporting systems
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with PDE, Program Management, Quality, and FAE teams
- Coordinate with global manufacturing sites for process transfer and alignment
Documentation & Standardization
- Develop and maintain work instructions (WI), process documentation, and control plans
- Ensure processes are standardized, scalable, and audit-ready
Qualifications
Experience
- 5–10+ years in Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, or NPI roles
- Experience in EMS / contract manufacturing environments preferred
- Background in consumer electronics, robotics, automotive, or data center hardware
Technical Skills
- Strong experience in production line setup and layout design
- Hands-on experience with equipment installation and qualification
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (assembly, automation, etc.)
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and process optimization tools
Execution & Problem Solving
- Hands-on, execution-driven mindset
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities in production environments
- Proven ownership of production outcomes
Communication
- Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced NPI environments
Language
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
