A small animal practice near Hertford is seeking an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join its team. The practice understands the importance of work-life balance and is offering flexible working days to suit the successful candidate. The role includes no Sunday shifts, with a salary of up to £30,000, plus a £500 welcome bonus.
The practice is a modern, well-equipped clinic based in the lovely town of Hertford. The team consists of two vets, one RVN, two VCAs, and one receptionist. The clinic is purpose-built with separate cat and dog wards and an isolation unit. It is fully equipped with ultrasound, digital X-ray, an in-house laboratory, and capnography. The practice has a high percentage of insured pets, allowing the team to work on a wide and varied caseload. They also have specialists who visit the practice to perform various procedures, including cardiac scans and orthopaedic operations.
The new nurse will assist in all areas of the practice, from theatre to nurse clinics. The ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of veterinary nursing, particularly with anaesthetics and nurse clinics. They will take pride in working to a high standard and be passionate about delivering excellent patient and client care. The practice is looking for someone with great communication and organisation skills who is keen to learn about the business side of the practice and help motivate the team to achieve their goals.
