Locum Veterinary Surgeon

Role Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Locum Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Newton Abbot. This locum role runs from 23rd September 2024 to 30th November 2024, requiring availability for 5 days per week with no weekend commitments. The role offers a supportive environment where you will provide high-quality veterinary care to a range of small animal cases.

Location: Newton Abbot
Start Date: 23rd September 2024
End Date: 30th November 2024
Work Schedule: 5 days per week
Shifts: 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Weekends: None

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform consultations, diagnostics, and treatments for a wide range of small animal cases.
• Carry out routine surgeries and post-operative care.
• Ensure effective communication with pet owners regarding treatment options and care plans.
• Work collaboratively with the veterinary team to deliver a high standard of care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine with current registration with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS).
• Experience in small animal practice, including surgery and medical care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on client care.
• Ability to manage time effectively and handle a busy caseload.
