Join a well-established, RCVS-accredited, and nurse training veterinary practice in Cranleigh, Surrey. Our practice has recently undergone significant refurbishment and offers a modern and fully equipped environment to support you in delivering the highest standard of care to our patients.

Cranleigh, Surrey
Full-Time, 40 hours per week over 4 days, 1:3 Saturday mornings
Up to £75,000, DOE

We also offer separate dog and heated cat kennels, with ample on-site parking. The practice is ideally situated near a range of lovely coffee shops and is nestled at the foot of the beautiful Surrey Hills, providing excellent transport links.

The Role
As Lead Veterinary Surgeon, you will oversee the daily operations of the practice, manage the clinical team, and ensure the delivery of excellent patient care. You will work alongside a dedicated team of veterinary professionals in a supportive and dynamic environment, providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and mentoring the veterinary team to deliver outstanding patient care
  • Managing and performing surgeries and clinical procedures
  • Providing high-quality consultations and treatments to a varied caseload
  • Building strong relationships with clients through compassionate care and excellent communication
  • Overseeing practice operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations
  • Being an advocate for continuous improvement and clinical excellence

Requirements

  • MRCVS status and an active license to practice in the UK
  • Proven experience in a veterinary practice, ideally with leadership or senior roles
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously while being part of a supportive team
  • Passion for delivering high-quality veterinary care
