NDE Quality Inspector (Local)

JOB PURPOSE / SCOPE:

• NDE Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and ensuring the implementation of the project requirement for the structure and structure outfitting at the Fabrication $ite in China during the Fabrication phase.
• The NDE Quality Inspector will report to Site Manager and Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring close collaboration with the Site Manager and the Project Management Team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following specific documents shall be reviewed during Fabrication stage for suitability for the work, or modified specific to the work:

• Project Execution Plan, and Construction Execution Plan
• Project Quality Plan
• Engineering Execution Plan, and Engineering and Technical Queries procedure(s),
• Corrective Action procedure
• Several Company/Contractor documents will be needed to be incorporated in the above list, and this should be identified.

Specific requirements for Construction

• Perform non-destructive tests (NDT) such as ultrasonic testing (UT), radiographic testing (RT), magnetic particle testing (MPT), liquid penetrant testing (LPT), and eddy current testing (ECT).
• Ensure inspections are conducted according to industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
• Analyze test results to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and suggesting corrective actions.
• Calibrate and maintain NDE equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Keep up-to-date with technological advancements and best practices in NDE techniques
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality control activities.
• Fabrication and welding sequence for parts (including tubular), subassemblies, assemblies, and erection,
• Electrical, Instrumentation & Control installation if applicable,
• Regulatory conformance plan if appIicable
• Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), verification of the NDT technique,
• Assembly correction and material repair,
• Final inspection and completion

NDE Quality Inspector

Inspector will assign to NDE activities shall have certified competency in th NDE methods i.e. Radiographic Testing (RT) film interpretation, Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), etc. - in the form of one of the following:

• ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) Certifications above Level 2 if the qualification has been obtained through examination by an independent organization.
• API (American Petroleum Institute) Certifications: Specific to the petroleum and natural gas
• industry. (API 510, 570, 653, etc.)
• AWS (American Welding Society) Certifications: For welding inspection. CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)
• CSWIP/ PCN/ TUV Level 2 (ISO 9712)

WORK EXPERIENCE

• Shall have a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in the field of inspection & testing in offshore project (installation or fabrication of oil production facilities) / ship building project.
• In-depth knowledge of various NDE methods and their applications. Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Understanding of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry-specific standards.
• Keen eye for identifying defects and ensuring all aspects of quality are met
• Proficiency in written and verbal English
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Advantageous to have spoken and written Korean
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Project management reporting skills and sound business knowledge
• General understanding of safety regulations and procedures for oilfield-related facilities
• Experience with international standards, national regulations, codes, and technical specifications
• Teamwork, initiative, self-motivation, and good communication skills
