Ghost Sherpa is looking for a detail-oriented Ecommerce Implementation Specialist to join our digital marketing team on a part-time contractor basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives behind the scenes executing technical marketing tasks and optimizing ecommerce platforms for performance without direct client interaction.

Youll work directly with our Ecommerce Account Manager and Project Manager to complete hands-on work inside platforms like Shopify and WooCommerce, with a heavy focus on product feed management and search visibility improvements across paid and organic channels.

This is a production-focused position with a future path to client-facing account management for candidates who demonstrate reliability and execution excellence over their first 90 days.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize product feeds for Google Shopping (primary), Bing, Meta Commerce, and TikTok Shop.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Google Merchant Center and associated feeds.
  • Optimize on-site SEO elements such as product titles, meta descriptions, alt text, and schema/structured data.
  • Use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console to configure tracking and measure performance.
  • Coordinate with our internal content team when product descriptions or metadata updates are needed.
  • Use tools like Ahrefs and our CMS platforms (primarily Shopify and WooCommerce) to research, plan, and execute technical SEO tasks.
  • Collaborate in Asana and Telegram with internal team members and participate in 1-2 Google Meet calls per week (on camera).

Requirements

  • 2+ year experience working inside ecommerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce.
  • Strong working knowledge of Google Merchant Center and feed optimization (especially for paid media).
  • Experience using Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Search Console.
  • Familiarity with schema markup and structured data. (Bonus: experience managing ecommerce ad campaigns.)
  • Excellent attention to detail when executing metadata and product feed optimizations.
  • Strong written communication and ability to coordinate with team members on content requests or strategy.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independently managing assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
  • Available to work during Pacific Time or Central Time business hours.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Klaviyo or similar email marketing platforms.
  • Exposure to additional ecommerce CMS platforms (BigCommerce, Shift4Shop, etc).
  • Background in content creation or keyword research.
