What’s the purpose of the role?
The Head of Operations (COO) will lead and streamline the company's internal operations across Finance, HR, Systems, and Operational Processes. This role is responsible for building structure, improving efficiency, optimizing workflows, and ensuring the business operates smoothly, profitably, and with minimal friction as the company scales.
What will I be doing?
- Overseeing day-to-day business operations across Finance, HR, Systems, and internal processes.
- Managing invoicing, collections, payroll, contractor payments, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
- Monitoring revenue, expenses, profitability trends, and operational budgets.
- Managing relationships with bookkeepers, accountants, HR vendors, and outsourced partners.
- Leading onboarding and offboarding processes for employees and contractors.
- Ensuring HR compliance, payroll accuracy, benefits administration, and employee operations support.
- Owning and optimizing internal systems including Monday.com, Slack, payroll tools, and operational workflows.
- Improving processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and driving operational efficiency across teams.
- Building reporting systems, documentation, and accountability frameworks to support leadership decision-making.
- Troubleshooting operational and systems-related issues while supporting internal teams.
- Working closely with leadership to scale the business and improve company-wide execution

What experience do I need to succeed?
- 4+ years of experience in Operations, Finance, HR, Business Management, or similar operational leadership roles.
- Experience working in agencies, startups, or high-growth environments.
- Experience working with beauty brands, beauty-focused agencies, or within the Beauty Industry is required.
- Strong experience managing operational processes, financial operations, payroll, invoicing, and HR functions.
- Experience overseeing remote teams, contractors, and distributed work environments.
- Experience managing operational systems and workflow tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Notion, Slack, and payroll platforms.
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies and understanding operational compliance requirements.
- Proven experience improving operational efficiency, building systems, and scaling processes.
- Experience collaborating directly with leadership teams and supporting strategic business operations.
