What You Will Be Doing

  • Implement scalable, resilient, and secure systems to ensure high availability and performance of our products and services
  • Creating tools to simplify and automate complex platform solutions
  • Developing and maintaining existing cloud infrastructures with IaC principles.
  • Continuously monitor and enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Manage automation tools and frameworks for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management.
  • Manage incident response efforts, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with development teams, and operations to improve system reliability and performance, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems and processes, and provide mentorship to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Introducing innovative solutions to improve system reliability and operational efficiency

What You Will Bring

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform or AWS CDK).
  • Coding skills in one or more languages (Python, Go, or Java) for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing large-scale distributed system microservices architectures (TypeScript, Java or Go) to be reliable and scalable.
  • Familiarity with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools like GitHub, ArgoCD, Bitbucket, etc.
  • Familiarity with Backstage tools.
  • Knowledge of observability tools for monitoring (e.g., Grafana Stack, New Relic).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A solid understanding of reliability best practices and experience implementing robust reliability measures across systems.
  • A proactive approach to learning and staying current with industry trends, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
