GIS Specialist - Tech Support

About the role

Geodata Systems Technologies, Inc. is seeking a talented GIS Specialist (Tech Support) to join our dynamic team. As a GIS Specialist, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the implementation of services rendered by the Training and Technical Support Division by performing the tasks assigned in accordance to quality standards of the company, and assisting the Department in implementing projects, supporting pre-sales and training, and other related tasks. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Install and configure ArcGIS components according to the system architecture.
• Create and configure GIS web applications, mobile applications and dashboards using ArcGIS configurable tools and apps.
• Configure Geodatabases in an enterprise implementation with an RDBMS.
• Design and configure Enterprise Geodatabase management and maintenance workflows, which may include Versioning, Replication, Indexing, Archiving, Backup and Restore, and other QA/QC Procedures.
• Provide support on installation, licensing, and configuration of Esri software.
• Provide information on usage and concepts of documented software functionalities and workflows.
• Troubleshoot failures, errors, performance issues, crashes, or unexpected behavior.
• Provide documented samples and code snippets to support customization and development.
• Conduct presentations/demos to demonstrate capabilities of ArcGIS software and apps

What we're looking for

• Graduate of Information Technology (IT), or courses on earth/environmental science (Geography, Geology, Environmental Sciences, etc.)
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Preferably with good presentation skills
