Cloud System Administrator

Cloud System Administrator has the job responsibility of managing and monitoring the performance of the Microsoft Azure environment inclusive of servers, databases, services, AI Services and networking components.

The System Administrator ensures the availability, security, configuration, and growth of the IT infrastructure is aligned with clients needs and requirements.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in computer science, cybersecurity or a related field.
• At least 5 years demonstrated experience maintaining cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with troubleshooting system performance and network issues.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Open AI platform would be a plus.
• Experience with best practices for security, data recovery, high availability, and auto-scaling.
• Be willing to be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities And Duties

System Administration for Microsoft Azure environment. Managing cloud services including Azure Entra, Policies, Storage, VMs, Web Services, NSGs, DNS, GPO Management, Microsoft Defender, etc.

• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems on Azure.
• Configuring servers, applying patches, provisioning and installing software.
• Maintaining server and security configurations in compliance with established best practices and configurations.
• Implementing and maintaining databases using SQL, NoSQL or other database platforms.
• Conducting network performance analysis and troubleshooting when required.
• Developing, promoting, and offering improvements to operating procedures.
• Reviewing and maintaining logs
• Participating in team meetings, sharing updates and coordinating with other teams
• Design, implement and test complex system and technical solutions:
• Assist in the implementation of new architectures, including roadmaps and portfolios for infrastructure architecture.
• Keep current on new technologies. Research products and new technologies and roadmaps, and gain expertise in evolving technology. Recommend and understand how new technologies can be applied and implemented. Integrate systems into the current (computing) environment.
• Recommend and plan, manage, architect and design, and develop, infrastructure project and solutions to support requirements and landscapes. Identify improvement opportunities with a focus toward more current technical solutions and migration paths. Implement small to large scale solutions adopting various technologies while automating business process models.
• Analyze flows, prepare design documents relating to all aspects of the architecture of Clients server technology.
• Support the need for cost-efficiency, and agility related to IT opportunities, maintainability, supportability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide analysis of security protection technologies as necessary.
• Maintain and update, infrastructure and operations processes and procedures.
