About the Client
Our client is a biomass energy company that converts maize straw and manure into biomass briquettes for industrial use. These briquettes serve as an alternative fuel for industrial boilers, furnaces, and power plants, reducing reliance on coal and other fossil fuels.
We are looking for an HR Executive to manage hiring, employee relations, and HR operations for the biomass briquetting plant. This role is ideal for someone with 2-5 years of experience in industrial HR, particularly in manufacturing, production plants, or industrial operations.
Job Overview
The HR Executive will be responsible for managing blue-collar and white-collar hiring, HR operations, and compliance with labor laws. Since our client is a new company, this role offers the opportunity to set up and implement HR systems from scratch.
The ideal candidate must have experience in hiring industrial workers, payroll management, employee records handling, and enforcing HR policies in a factory or plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Industrial Hiring
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for plant staff, including operators, technicians, supervisors, and office staff.
- Collaborate with recruiters, local hiring agencies, and labor contractors to ensure workforce availability.
- Conduct interviews, reference checks, and onboarding for new employees.
2. HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Maintain employee records, attendance, and payroll data.
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and industrial regulations.
- Support the plant manager in shift scheduling and workforce management.
3. HR Policies & Compliance
- Implement HR policies related to safety, attendance, leave, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure compliance with EOBI, social security, and other legal requirements.
- Coordinate with government authorities for any labor-related matters.
4. Payroll & Benefits Management
- Assist in salary processing, overtime calculations, and deductions.
- Manage compensation structures for plant employees.
- Work with the finance team to ensure timely salary disbursement.
5. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Organize training programs and employee development activities.
- Address worker concerns and improve retention strategies.
- Promote a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred: MBA in HR (not mandatory).
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in HR operations, industrial hiring, or plant-based HR roles.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, production, or industrial HR is preferred.
- Knowledge of labor laws, payroll management, and workforce administration.
Skills:
- Strong recruitment and hiring experience for industrial workers.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, labor laws, and HR compliance.
- Good communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to independently manage HR operations in a plant environment.
Compensation & Benefits
