We are a fast-growing company seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-End Engineer to join our team in Lahore, Pakistan, in a hybrid setup that combines the flexibility of remote work with the collaboration benefits of in-office presence.

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned back-end engineer with expertise in Django (Python), AWS, and AI-driven projects (e.g., LLMs like ChatGPT or LLaMA). The ideal candidate also has experience developing SaaS products with integrated billing modules. This role requires in-office presence every other day in Lahore, Pakistan, to foster collaboration while retaining the flexibility of remote work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services using Django (Python).
• Develop and optimize integrations with billing modules and payment gateways for SaaS platforms.
• Architect and deploy solutions on AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, S3, EC2, and RDS.
• Lead the development of major product features and ensure their successful delivery.
• Implement AI-driven features utilizing LLMs and machine learning frameworks.
• Collaborate in-office with team members to brainstorm and align on product goals.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
• Conduct code reviews, participate in technical discussions, and drive architectural decisions.
• Maintain high coding standards, rigorous testing, and detailed documentation.

Ideal Candidate

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in back-end development, with a focus on SaaS products.
• Expertise in Django (Python) and scalable system design in AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with billing modules (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or custom solutions).
• Proven experience in AI-driven projects involving LLMs like ChatGPT or LLaMA.
• Experience with integrating OpenAI APIs would be a plus.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of database management and optimization (MySQL).
• Familiarity with APIs, third-party integrations, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services.
