Position: Junior Draughtsman / Estimator

Location: Lahore, Pakistan
Reports To: Senior Designer / Business Unit Manager
Working Style: On-site / Full-time
Compensation: PKR 130,000 190,000 per month
Experience Required: Entry to Mid-Level (1-3 years preferred)
Language Requirement: Fluent English (written and verbal)

Position Summary

The Junior Draughtsman / Estimator will assist the design team in preparing 2D technical drawings, design calculations, and cost estimates for safety and construction systems.
This role blends technical drawing with estimation responsibilities and is ideal for candidates with CAD training, strong mathematical skills, and a desire to grow in construction design and estimating.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare 2D general arrangement drawings, fixing details, and revisions under supervision.

  • Translate project scopes, drawings, and specifications into technically sound designs.

  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and international design teams to deliver accurate outputs.

  • Create safety and access system designs that comply with standards and safety regulations.

  • Develop cost estimates, pricing breakdowns, and project calculations for review.

  • Independently prepare project costings up to PKR equivalent of £25,000 in value.

  • Maintain accurate project and customer data in company systems.

  • Review and verify designs and safety plans for accuracy and completeness.

  • Support smooth handover from quotation to project execution.

  • Ensure all design documentation is properly archived and managed in central systems.

  • Escalate deviations or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate team lead.

  • Promote a safe, professional, and quality-driven work culture at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Engineering, Architecture, or Design.

  • Software: Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar CAD software.

  • Skills: Strong mathematical, spatial, and analytical abilities.

  • Language: Exceptional English communication skills (spoken and written).

  • Experience: Prior exposure to technical drawing or estimation is an advantage.
