Data Visualization Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Data Visualization Specialist to join our team remotely. Youll play a key role in transforming complex data sets into compelling, interactive, and easily digestible visual stories that drive decision-making and communication across the organization. Ideal candidates blend technical know-how with design sensibility, and are excited about making data come alive for internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Storytelling & Visualization

Design and develop engaging static and interactive visualizations, dashboards, and infographics using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Looker, or Plotly.

Translate raw datasets into meaningful narratives and visuals for presentations, reports, and web use.

Collaborate with data analysts, subject-matter experts, and stakeholders to understand key insights and determine the best visual approach.

Dashboard Design & Reporting

Build and maintain custom dashboards and reporting tools tailored to end-user needs.

Optimize dashboards for performance, clarity, and responsiveness.

Support version control, documentation, and consistency of visual output.

Data Structuring & Quality Control

Prepare and clean data for visualization using SQL, Python, R, or Excel.

Ensure accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of visualized data.

Conduct peer reviews and testing to verify dashboard outputs and calculations.

Qualifications:

2 years of experience in data visualization, business intelligence, or data analysis roles.

Strong portfolio showcasing visual storytelling with data.

Proficiency in one or more tools: Tableau, Power BI, D3.js, Looker, Google Data Studio, Highcharts, etc.

Experience querying data using SQL and working with structured and semi-structured datasets.

Ability to balance aesthetics and clarity in visual design.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative work style.
