Job Openings Product and Communication Writer

About the job Product and Communication Writer

We're looking for a skilled product and communication writer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you'll translate complex ideas and product features into clear, engaging, and user-friendly content that supports marketing, product launches, internal documentation, and customer communication.

You'll work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, engineers, and marketing teams to create high-impact copy that resonates with different audiences, from users and stakeholders to partners and press.

This role is ideal for a strong writer who's equal parts storyteller, UX thinker, and strategic communicator. You should thrive in fast-paced environments and know how to turn technical details into content that informs, excites, and drives action.

Key Responsibilities:

Product-Focused Writing

Create clear and concise product copy: feature descriptions, onboarding flows, in-app messages, and release notes.

Write help center articles, how-to guides, and FAQs to support customer understanding and reduce friction.

Collaborate with designers and developers to shape product messaging and microcopy that enhances UX.

Communication & Marketing Support

Draft blog posts, email campaigns, press kits, and product launch announcements.

Craft brand-aligned messaging for customer communications and support updates.

Maintain a consistent voice and tone across all touchpoints.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Partner with product, support, and marketing teams to understand product updates and translate them into user-focused content.

Use analytics, user feedback, and product usage data to refine messaging and prioritize content.

Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship required.

2+ years of experience in writing for product, UX, or marketing, preferably in tech, SaaS, or digital services.

Portfolio of clear, engaging content across different mediums (product docs, emails, guides, blogs, etc.).

Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with attention to voice, clarity, and accuracy.

Ability to synthesize technical information into simple, digestible content.

Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., Notion, Figma, Jira, Slack, Google Docs).
