General Accountant

Job Summary

The General Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with VAS and IFRS. The role includes handling general ledger activities, month-end closing, financial reporting,and tax matters. This position also supports audits, manages cash flow and banking activities, and ensures proper documentation and internal control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor AP/AR, payroll records, handle journal entries, reconciliations, and month/quarter/year-end closing;
• Maintain accounting records, general ledger, and supporting documents in compliance with VAS and IFRS;
• Perform monthly closing and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting;
• Prepare financial statements and management reports, Analyze financial
• statements, including explaining variances in P&L;
• Manage bank payments, cash flow, cash injection, and relationships with banks;
• Manage tax matters (VAT, CIT, PIT, FCT), including tax inspections and VAT refunds;
• Ensure compliance, improve processes and internal controls, and coordinate with relevant departments;
• Support internal and external audits;
• Manage and organize the systematic filing and storage of accounting documents and records, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and easy retrieval;
• Other adhoc tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent experience;
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Financial accounting in the FDI environment; 
• Good in English, excellent in Spreadsheet (Excel, google worksheet);
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, team working, work under pressure.;
• Have experience in Accounting software and other purchasing software: Misa, Xero, Workday, Precoro;
• Experience in tax inspections and VAT refund procedures;
• Experience in the BPO is an advantage.
