Job Title: Management Accountant

Job Purpose
The Management Accountant will be responsible for providing accurate financial and management information to support strategic decision-making, cost control, and performance improvement across the manufacturing business. The role involves preparing management accounts, analyzing variances, monitoring production costs, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Monitor and report on manufacturing costs, overheads, and cost of sales.
  • Analyse production efficiency, waste, and yield to support operational improvements.
  • Develop and maintain standard costing systems and ensure accurate product costing.
  • Assist with annual budgets, financial planning, and rolling forecasts.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support management in decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and statutory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved financial efficiency.
  • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Prepare year end reports and submissions
  • Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in management accounting, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills. Proficiency in Palladium Pro added Bonus
