The Audit Assistant Manager role is designed for someone who enjoys being involved, asking questions, and understanding how businesses really operate. You will be encouraged to step beyond pure delivery, build trusted client relationships, and actively shape your own progression toward Audit Manager.

You will work with a varied and interesting client portfolio, gaining exposure to different industries and business models, while continuing to develop your technical judgement, confidence, and leadership capability in a supportive, forward thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high quality audit engagements across a varied client portfolio
  • Review audit work prepared by junior team members
  • Build effective working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Apply professional scepticism on more complex and higher risk audit areas
  • Support and coach trainees as they progress through their training
  • Develop toward ownership of audit engagements and portfolios at Manager level

Requirements

  • SAICA, ACA or ACCA qualified
  • Audit experience gained within a professional practice environment
  • Exposure to privately owned businesses or mixed audit portfolios
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative, proactive mindset
  • Caseware experience
