About the Opportunity

As part of our international client base, we are seeking an experienced Client Manager to oversee a portfolio of franchise accounts for a growing UK-based accounting group. This role is ideal for a qualified professional who thrives in client-facing environments, enjoys mentoring offshore teams, and can provide both strategic and technical insight into clients finances.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage a portfolio of franchise accounts acting as the primary point of contact for clients and ensuring delivery of high-quality financial reporting.

  • Review work prepared by offshore teams (India-based) identify errors, send back corrections, and provide ongoing training/coaching to the team.

  • Client advisory provide proactive insights, such as identifying when dividends should be declared, or highlighting opportunities to improve financial outcomes.

  • Strategic account growth support business development by expanding client relationships and portfolios (bonus incentives available).

  • Ownership of end-to-end processes from bookkeeping oversight through to management accounts, VAT returns, and personal tax for business owners.

  • Collaborate with UK stakeholders to ensure work is aligned with deadlines, client needs, and best practice standards.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Accountant (CA(SA), ACCA, ACA, AGA(SA) or equivalent).

  • Proven experience as a Client Manager or Assistant Manager within a practice environment.

  • Strong UK accounting exposure (LLPs, owner-managed businesses, group structures).

  • Ability to review and manage offshore accounting teams with confidence.

  • Client-facing, commercially minded professional who can spot opportunities and add value.

  • Strong knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, and IRIS (advantageous).

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A proactive, entrepreneurial approach willing to challenge, advise, and grow with clients.
