Audit Senior – Housing Associations (Short-Term Project)

We are currently seeking an experienced Audit Senior with Housing Association audit experience to support a UK accounting firm on a short-term audit engagement. This project-based role offers the opportunity to contribute to UK audits within the housing and social housing sector while remaining based in South Africa.

You will work closely with UK-based managers and engagement teams, supporting the delivery of high-quality audits during a busy audit period.

This role is ideal for an experienced auditor who is comfortable stepping into engagements quickly and delivering high-quality work within an established international team.

What Youll Be Doing

• Perform and lead sections of audit fieldwork for UK housing association clients
• Prepare and review audit working papers and audit documentation
• Identify audit risks and areas of control weakness
• Work closely with UK-based managers and engagement teams throughout the audit process
• Support the review and coordination of work completed by junior team members where required
• Contribute to the timely delivery of audits in line with UK auditing standards and IFRS

What Were Looking For

• CA(SA), ACA, or ACCA qualified 
• Minimum 3 years external audit experience in a professional services firm
• Experience auditing Housing Associations or entities within the UK social housing sector
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies and financial reporting standards
• Experience preparing audit working papers and financial statements
• Experience with CaseWare Working Papers preferred
• Ability to integrate quickly into international teams and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
