Job Overview: Our client, a leading bank based in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Level Compliance Officer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment banking and asset management compliance, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the DIFC jurisdiction. Proficiency in both Arabic and English is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements within the DIFC.
- Conduct regular compliance assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on compliance matters related to investment banking and asset management.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance policies, procedures, and regulatory changes.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues and breaches, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest regulatory developments and industry best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance within the DIFC jurisdiction, specifically in investment banking and asset management.
- Proficiency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced certifications in compliance or related disciplines are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of DIFC regulatory requirements and standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent.
- Proven track record of successfully managing compliance functions in a reputable financial institution.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with senior management and regulatory authorities.
