Our client is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows Engineer to oversee and maintain our entire Windows infrastructure. This includes responsibilities such as managing Active Directory, DNS, and serving as a point of escalation for intricate problems within the Windows Desktop environment.

Windows is the main operating system we use for desktops, and a considerable portion of our core infrastructure services are supported by Windows servers. The proper functioning of these systems is crucial for the ongoing operation of our business.

As a member of our Windows team, your responsibilities will include enhancing, automating, and standardizing our Windows environment. A significant portion of this task will entail the creation and upkeep of PowerShell scripts. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities are essential for collaborating with colleagues both locally and internationally, in order to identify and address issues, coordinate deployments, and enhance systems whenever feasible.

Ensuring accurate details and maintaining meticulous records are imperative in this position. When dealing with various technical problems, it is expected of you to accurately document the steps taken to resolve them through our online knowledge base.

This role is situated within our IT Engineering department, which consists of a team of highly committed Engineers responsible for overseeing and controlling a Windows environment across a physical/virtual computing landscape that spans three continents. Your analytical thinking and expertise will be invaluable as we support the daily work of our colleagues and keep our systems operating at the highest standard.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience with the inner workings of Microsoft Windows 10 and Server 2012 R2/2016/2019
  • Advanced working knowledge of Active Directory/DHCP/DNS/Group Policy
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot workstation operating systems, applications, peripherals, network and audio-visual
  • Experience with hardware monitoring and performance tuning
  • Clear and concise communication skills, able to maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • A flexible and reliable team player, enjoys working in a collaborative environment
  • Fluency in English required
