Gardenia Bakeries (Philippines), Inc. (“Gardenia” or the “Company”) respects the privacy of the personal and sensitive personal information of job applicants. As such, Gardenia endeavors to comply with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012), its implementing rules and regulations, and other issuances of the National Privacy Commission. Gardenia protects all personal information and practices transparency in the collection, use, storage, and disposal of all personal information derived from an employment application. This includes maintaining the privacy of any application forms, curriculum vitae, academic records, documents issued by government agencies, and all other personally identifiable information.

This notice covers the Company’s use of personally identifiable information submitted given an employment application. The personally identifiable information provided by job applicants will be used to determine if their qualifications and related experience are fit for the role they are applying for. Gardenia will communicate with the job applicant through the contact information they will provide and the Company will take contact information of third parties, such as character references, with the understanding that the job applicant has obtained their consent. Gardenia may perform background checks which may include but are not limited to, discussions with government agencies, educational institutions, previous employers, and character references. The Company will not use any of a job applicant’s personally identifiable information if not necessary for any of the purposes stated in this notice.
