Leadership: Lead a team of data management professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Database Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of databases to support the organization's data needs. Ensure data integrity, security, and performance across all databases.
ETL Process Management: Develop and optimize Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to facilitate the efficient flow of data between systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data delivery.
Data Warehouse Management: Manage the organization's data warehouse infrastructure, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization. Implement best practices for data warehousing to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence efforts.
Data Architecture: Define and maintain the organization's data architecture roadmap, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance data management capabilities.
Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Monitor data quality and consistency, implementing measures to address issues as they arise.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, analytics, and business units, to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet business needs. Serve as a subject matter expert on data management best practices and methodologies.
Performance Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize data processes and systems to improve efficiency, scalability, and performance. Implement performance tuning strategies to enhance the overall data management infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Solid years of experience in data management, with a focus on database management, ETL processes, data warehousing, and data architecture.
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Expertise in database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of ETL tools and methodologies, such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
- Experience designing and optimizing data warehouse solutions, including data modeling and schema design.
- Solid understanding of data governance principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within established timelines.
