Job Title: Stores Clerk (Mechanical/Electrical Parts Management)
Location: Lukenya, Mombasa Rd

Gross Salary: KES 30, 000 - 40, 000

Our client, a manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Stores Clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical disciplines, as the role involves managing and coordinating inventory in a technically specialized environment. This is an essential position to ensure the smooth operation of our inventory and spare parts management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the accurate management of inventory for mechanical and electrical spare parts.
  • Ensure proper organization, storage, and labeling of spare parts and materials in the stores.
  • Monitor stock levels, initiate restocking procedures, and track the movement of materials and parts.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, and returns.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate with the technical and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts and materials needed for operations.
  • Handle the preparation and delivery of spare parts and materials as required by different departments.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards when handling parts and materials.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to stock levels, inventory discrepancies, and stock movements.

Key Attributes and Requirements:

  • A certificate or Diploma in a technical field.
  • Proven experience in stores or inventory management, preferably within a technical, mechanical, or electrical environment.
  • A solid understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems and spare parts is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members and other departments.
  • Basic computer skills, including knowledge of inventory management software or Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work efficiently and manage tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve discrepancies in stock records.
