About the Client:

Our client is organizing a prestigious high-profile event and is looking to onboard a highly skilled Graphics Designer & Video Editor to join the team onsite for a 2-year contract. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, national event with significant visibility, while collaborating with a dynamic team of creatives and event professionals.

Job Purpose:
The Graphics Designer & Video Editor will play a critical role in shaping the visual identity of the event. From social media content to print materials and video production, the successful candidate will create engaging and high-quality visuals that amplify the events presence and communicate effectively with its audience. This role requires creativity, speed, and attention to detail in both digital and print formats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Post Design: Create captivating graphics for event promotions, audience engagement, and live updates
• Blog & Email Campaign Design: Design visually appealing assets that enhance written content across blogs and email marketing
• Document & Presentation Design: Develop clean, professional layouts for event reports, presentations, and internal documents
• Print Design: Design high-quality flyers, brochures, posters, banners, invitations, and other materials for the event
• Photo Editing: Retouch and enhance images for promotional use and event recaps
• Live Event Post Design: Deliver real-time social media visuals during the event to drive engagement
• Video Editing: Edit short-form videos, highlight reels, and digital promo clips for use across social platforms and internal communications

Qualifications and Skills:

• 2-4 years of professional experience in graphic design and video editing
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
• Strong conceptual, typographic, and visual storytelling skills.
• A compelling portfolio showcasing a variety of design work, especially within events or branding.
• Deep understanding of design principles, brand identity, and print production processes.
• Proven experience in event branding, social media graphics, and marketing collateral creation.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Available for full-time onsite work (Saturday to Thursday) in Somaliland for the full contract duration.
