Salary: KES 40,000 - 50,000

Role Purpose:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for managing existing high-end client accounts, driving new sales opportunities, and identifying growth potential within the luxury alcoholic beverage segment. This role requires a deep understanding of premium brands, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets in the on-trade and wholesale channels.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management:

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with existing clients, including upscale bars, restaurants, clubs, and wholesalers, to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide continuous support to clients, ensuring they are well-informed about product offerings, promotions, and new launches.

Sales Growth:

  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the luxury alcoholic beverage market to expand the customer base.
  • Develop and execute strategies to identify growth areas and maximize sales in assigned territories.

Market Analysis:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify challenges and opportunities.
  • Use market insights to tailor sales approaches and strategies for premium and luxury clients.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track sales performance and institute corrective actions to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on sales activities, client feedback, and market conditions.
  • Brand Representation:
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for luxury wines and spirits, ensuring the products are presented and promoted appropriately in on-trade outlets.
  • Participate in high-end events, tastings, and activations to support brand visibility and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, specifically in the premium or luxury alcoholic beverages industry.
  • Proven experience working with upscale on-trade outlets, wholesalers, and distributors of high-end wines and spirits.
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of luxury alcoholic brands.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with high-end clients.
  • Sales Expertise: Strong ability to identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and close sales effectively within the luxury segment.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple clients and sales activities.
  • Self-Motivation: Goal-driven, proactive, and able to work independently to achieve targets.
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to represent luxury brands professionally during client meetings, events, and activations.
