Position Overview

The Senior Project Scheduler will play a critical role in the successful planning and execution of complex commercial construction projects. This position requires experience in managing scheduling for $20M+ projects and a strong working knowledge of Primavera P6. As a senior-level scheduler, you'll oversee scheduling activities for both large-scale and smaller projects, ensuring seamless communication, problem resolution, and adherence to project timelines.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with the project team and trade partners to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Produce conceptual schedules independently for team review and refinement.
  • Monitor, analyze, and update design deliverables, procurement, and construction schedules.
  • Review and critique vendor and subcontractor schedules, verifying updates and ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain a database of probable activity durations for improved scheduling efficiency.
  • Create and manage baseline schedules using well-defined and properly sequenced activities.
  • Provide regular status updates, forecasts, and reports on project progress.
  • Understand the logistics and flow required for successful project execution.
  • Collaborate with project managers to resolve delays, identify process improvements, and recommend workaround plans to keep projects on track.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by project management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Required Experience:
    • 7-10 years of experience in industrial or commercial construction, specifically on projects exceeding $20M.
    • Proficiency in Primavera P6 for scheduling and project management.
    • Strong working knowledge of ERP cost management tools and programs like Excel and Word.
    • Comprehensive understanding of construction disciplines and scheduling best practices.
  • Preferred Education:
    • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Key Skills:
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
    • Familiarity with 3D modeling in scheduling (preferred).
