POSITION OVERVIEW

As an Assistant Plant Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our seafood processing facility. Working alongside the Plant Manager and production teams, you will help uphold high-quality standards, streamline workflows, and lead production staff to achieve operational goals. This hands-on leadership position requires demonstrated seafood processing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Assist the Plant Manager and collaborate with the Production Manager to oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency and quality assurance.

· Develop and coordinate production schedules, managing material availability and labor needs.

· Maximize the use of plant equipment and workforce to enhance output and control costs.

· Gather, track, and evaluate production data to drive operational improvements.

· Uphold high-quality standards while innovating and implementing new processing methods.

· Support logistics for incoming and outgoing products to ensure smooth workflow.

· Mentor, train, and collaborate with production staff to foster a skilled and motivated team.

· Enforce all safety regulations and promote best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

· Identify and resolve operational challenges promptly to minimize production downtime.

· Operate forklifts as needed in both production and cold storage areas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Prior experience in the seafood processing industry is required.

· Strong leadership capabilities with excellent problem-solving skills to inspire and guide teams.

· Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving environment.

· Solid organizational and time management skills.

· Experience in plant operations and production scheduling.

· Knowledge of seafood safety standards and processing best practices.

· Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-speed environment.

· Strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.

· Fluency in English is required; additional fluency in Chinese, Japanese, or Vietnamese is a plus.
