Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to identify potential sales opportunities and assess customer needs.
  • Proactively seek new sales opportunities through various marketing initiatives.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions and conferences, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills through training programs, industry conferences, and vendor self-study to stay competitive.

    Sales|

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and sales presentations, closing deals to acquire new customers.
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing product/service information, offering solutions, and building strong relationships for customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Utilize CRM systems to manage and track customer interactions, sales activities, and opportunities, maintaining accurate records to effectively manage customer relationships and the sales cycle.
    • Provide regular reports and forecasts on sales activity, pipeline development, and revenue projections.
    • Meet sales targets by prospecting, qualifying leads, and converting them into sales, while ensuring smooth order placement and delivery for client satisfaction.

    Tender Management|

    • Identify, record and manage industry specific tender opportunities relevant to ALTUS ICT using the means necessary to their disposals
    • Ensure that tender documents are completed and accurate
    • Compilation of tender documents i.e. ability to draft plans, policies, procedures
    • Coordination, compilation and completion of tender documents
    • Ensure the bid process is followed
    • Coordinate collection of tender documents and ensure submissions are made on time
    • Review final documents for quality control and proof read for accuracy and compliance
    • Performing risk assessments and addressing concerns of clients and company staff.

    Requirements

      • Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Sales/Commerce or Relevant
      • Vendor Sales Certification
      • 5 years of experience in a similar role
      • >3 years of experience in Sales & Marketing strategies
      • Valid Code 8 Drivers License
      • Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques
      • Knowledge of contract terminology, competitive bids, purchase orders, and vendor relationship management
      • Knowledge of Public Procurement Act Contracting and Tendering principles
      • Hands-on experience with CRM software is a plus
      • Experience with ICT vendors like HP, Dell, Cisco, Fortinet, etc. will be advantageous.
