We are seeking an experienced Senior SMP Surveyor to join our growing project delivery team, supporting major mining, oil & gas, renewables and infrastructure projects throughout Western Australia.

Working on a FIFO roster, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality survey services across structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) installations, ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering set-out and as-built surveys for SMP installations.
  • Carry out dimensional control surveys for structural steel, mechanical equipment and piping.
  • Conduct mechanical alignment and precision verification.
  • Process survey data and prepare reports using industry-standard software.
  • Maintain survey control networks and quality assurance documentation.
  • Operate total stations, GNSS equipment and laser scanners.
  • Work closely with construction, engineering and quality teams to meet project milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and company quality standards.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in SMP or construction surveying within the mining, oil & gas or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in structural, mechanical and piping surveys.
  • Proficient with Leica and/or Trimble survey equipment and software.
  • Experience using AutoCAD/ specialist software and survey processing software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and construction tolerances.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safe work practices.
