About the opportunity

We are seeking a Cadastral Surveyor to join our Queensland Survey team, working across regional and remote projects on either a FIFO roster or regional deployment basis in Southwestern QLD.

You'll will deliver cadastral surveying services across a diverse range of projects, including rural land development, infrastructure, and resource-sector clients.

Responsibilities

Cadastral & Survey Delivery

• Undertake cadastral surveys including boundary re-establishment, subdivisions, easements, and tenure definition
• Interpret plans, titles, historical records, and legislation
• Perform field investigations to locate and reinstate boundaries
• Work under the direction of a Endorsed Cadastral Surveyor where required
• Ensure compliance with Queensland cadastral standards and regulations

Field Operations

• Operate GNSS & total stations
• Establish and maintain GNSS networks
• Perform calculations, adjustments, and QA checks in the field
• Troubleshoot issues in real time in remote environments

Data & Reporting

• Maintain accurate field records and survey datasets
• Prepare project documentation including sketches, reinstatement reports & quality assurance documentation.
• Ensure data integrity and traceability across all deliverables in line with Statutory standards.

Requirements

• Strong QLD cadastral surveying experience (rural/regional preferred)
• Ability to interpret cadastral plans, titles, and survey records
• Solid understanding of Queensland cadastral regulations
• Confidence operating GNSS and total station equipment
• Ability to work independently in FIFO or remote environments
• Strong problem-solving skills in field conditions
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
