About the Role
With rapid national growth, we are looking for a Senior / Lead Civil Engineer to join our expanding Melbourne team and play a pivotal role in client interactions.
This role will work across our extensive client portfolio engaging with our national multi-disciplinary teams requiring both effective leadership and strong technical proficiency.
Skills & Experience
Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- National Engineers Register (NER) status with Engineers Australia
- Currently living in Australia and be a citizen or permanent resident
- Local Australian or ideally Victorian based experience
- Diverse experience within property and infrastructure projects
- You are a strong communicator and respectful of your peers
- You have strong analytical and technical report writing skills
- Passion to mentor and train others.

Apart from working with a great group of people, you will be accountable for:
- Lead, commercially manage and technically review multiple projects from a civil engineering perspective from inception through to completion.
- Ensure engineering design practices and standards in the organisation are in accordance with Australian Standards and applicable Local Authority codes and standards as appropriate, meeting industry best practice
- Review engineering designs, plans, prepare project specifications, scopes of work, services review and project opinion of probable cost
- Preparing fee proposals for new project opportunities and have developed a well-respected personal brand.
- Prepare concept, feasibility and detailed design documentation and obtain relevant comments and regulatory approvals
- Meet with clients and the wider project team on a regular basis to provide sound advice and technical inputs into project delivery, ensuring value management, compliance and buildability is always well considered
- Conduct site inspections with clients; contractors; council and regulatory authorities where required
