Fyfe work with a wide range of clients in the Property & Infrastructure and Energy & Resources sectors to provide high quality, commercially pragmatic solutions with a strong focus on client service and delivery.

About the Role

Our Property & Infrastructure team in Adelaide provides a comprehensive range of town planning services to both the private and public sector. Our town planning team have been responsible for major planning initiatives at a strategic, policy and development application level and is working on a number of significant projects in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

We currently have an opportunity for a Town Planner to join us in our Adelaide head office, as we seek to further increase the capacity, experience and profile of our team. We are seeking an enthusiastic, capable and ambitious town planner ready to take the next step in their career and join a successful and largely autonomous team. A focus of the role will be assisting clients and internal staff on the updated planning system and providing specific and professional advice for the progression of development applications, code amendments and strategic planning projects.

This role is offered as permanent full time however we are happy to discuss part time and flexible working options.

Skills & Experience

This dynamic position will require well developed technical skills and experience, complimented by a strong focus on project delivery and customer service. Business development will be a key expectation of the role, with the successful candidate expected to have appropriate acumen and interest in this area.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning, preference will be given to an honours degree
  • Ideally 3-7 years of experience in town planning
  • Experience in areas such as the facilitation and delivery of development applications, strategic planning, policy planning, social infrastructure analysis and community consultation
  • Sound research, analysis and report writing skills is critical to the role
  • Well developed interpersonal skills
  • Be a member or be eligible for full membership of Planning Institute of Australia
