About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to join our Civil team in Adelaide. In this role, you will work closely with clients, civil contractors and authorities to successfully deliver projects throughout the construction phase.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management, superintendence and site inspections across a range of civil works, including land development and road projects, ensuring quality outcomes and compliance at every stage.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as the primary client contact and Superintendent for construction phase projects, managing the contract between the principal and contractor.
  • Contribute to the review and assessment of civil construction tenders
  • Undertake periodic site inspections to ensure that the design specifications are being met.
  • Chair regular site meetings and record minutes.
  • Liaise with councils and service authorities to ensure the smooth construction and handover of their assets.
  • Assess contractor extension of time, variation and progress claims in a timely manner.

About you

  • Relevant project management or Engineering qualifications
  • 8 + industry years' experience
  • Proven track record as superintendent or in managing civil construction contracts.
  • Understanding and previous experience in the role of the Superintendent using AS2124 or AS4000 (essential)
  • Sound understanding of appropriate engineering standards.
  • Technical report writing skills
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • White Card Safety Training
