We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to step into a leadership role as Division Manager – Structural. This is an opportunity for a dynamic leader who is passionate about delivering engineering excellence and developing high-performing teams.

About the Role

Business Growth & Client Engagement

  • Contribute to the preparation and review of bids and proposals prior to submission
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, promoting Fyfe's capabilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Manage engagement with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and consultants
  • Support the continued growth of Fyfe's presence in South Australia and interstate markets

Financial & Operational Leadership

  • Oversee operational performance in collaboration with Finance, including debtor management and cost control
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing across projects
  • Monitor and report on divisional performance, including WIP and key financial metrics
  • Drive efficient resource planning and scheduling to support project delivery

Technical Leadership & Project Delivery

  • Lead the review, approval, and refinement of structural designs, drawings, and reports
  • Oversee preparation of project scopes, design documentation, proposals, and cost estimates
  • Conduct and lead site inspections with clients, contractors, councils, and regulators
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Maintain and monitor project tracking systems and follow through on actions
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, designers, and drafters
  • Collaborate with internal leaders to improve workflows and delivery outcomes

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
  • Experience delivering large-scale property or infrastructure projects
  • Proven leadership experience within an engineering environment
  • Strong capability in business development and client engagement
  • Proficiency in engineering design software and high-level computer literacy

Desirable

  • Project management qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Chartered status with Engineers Australia (or working towards Chartership)
