About the job Team Leader - Process Engineering | Energy & Resources

Lead a high-performing team. Shape the next generation of process engineering.

Were now looking for a Team Leader Process Engineering to guide our Brisbane team through its next phase of growth. This role goes beyond technical delivery; you'll be the RPEQ Process Engineer and team leader who leads, mentors and develops; building capability, setting expectations, shaping culture, and lifting the standard across the discipline

Fyfe is helping drive Australia's energy future. Our Energy & Resources Division partners with major clients across upstream/downstream oil & gas, hydrogen, biogas, mining, and broader energy transition projects. We deliver everything from brownfield process plant upgrades to major pipeline and production systems across the country.

The Opportunity

You'll lead a skilled and growing team working across both established and emerging areas of process engineering. You'll balance hands-on technical oversight with real people leadership; coaching engineers, driving quality, developing new skillsets, and ensuring our team is equipped for where the energy sector is heading.

This is a key position for Fyfe, with genuine influence over our technical direction and our ability to support clients across Australia's evolving energy landscape.

What You'll Lead & Deliver

· Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of process engineers, building capability and ownership.

· Review, approve, and sign off discipline deliverables as an RPEQ.

· Oversee engineering design, scopes of work, estimates, and technical reports.

· Act as the discipline expert across HAZOPs, LOPAs, and process safety activities.

· Strengthen client relationships and contribute to business development where appropriate.

· Support growth in new and emerging process engineering areas aligned with the energy transition.

About You

You're more than technically strong; you're a leader who brings clarity, expects accountability, and genuinely enjoys helping engineers grow.

You will bring:

· Degree qualification in Chemical Engineering and RPEQ accreditation (essential).

· Strong experience in Australian CSG gathering and brownfields projects (highly regarded).

· A working knowledge of industry Codes and Standards (API 520/521, AS 60079, AS 2885).

· Clear communication skills, sound judgement, and a practical approach to problem-solving.

· The ability to balance workload, priorities, and team needs while maintaining quality and client focus.

Why Fyfe?

Were a national engineering consultancy with a culture built on respect, responsiveness, collaboration, and technical excellence. At Fyfe, you'll find:

· The chance to lead and shape the future of our Process Engineering capability.

· A supportive environment with ongoing professional development and mentorship.

· Access to corporate partner benefits, a dynamic social club, and a culture that celebrates achievement.
