The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Civil Designer highly proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D modelling software.

About the Role

As a Senior Civil Designer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative civil solutions for a variety of projects. You'll work across multiple high-impact projects, training and mentoring a small team of junior designers, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and guiding design partners to achieve excellence in engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead concept and detail designs, develop, and refine civil engineering designs and documentation using Civil 3D.
• Interpret engineering designs, specifications, sketches, and instructions to create accurate and compliant 3D designs for project submission, tendering, and construction.
• Assist engineers in calculating dimensions, load requirements, material quantities, and technical parameters to support project design.
• Foster collaboration between disciplines and project team members, both internal and external, to ensure consistent and coordinated design and documentation.
• Maintain an understanding of construction methodology to inform design response.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers, actively contributing to their technical development.

What You'll Bring

• An Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• The ability to use theoretical knowledge of design and principles to analyse and interpret information.
• Strong knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and Codes.
• Highly proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D software.
• Experience in preparing detailed engineering drawings and construction documentation commensurate with the level of duties.
