The Opportunity

As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant - Communications & Engagement to join our established national Environment & Social Impact team and help grow our presence across Victoria.

You will lead stakeholder and community engagement activities across a diverse project portfolio. You will work closely with clients, project teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes while helping drive business growth across Victoria.

This opportunity will suit a senior practitioner who enjoys working autonomously, building relationships and contributing strategically to both project delivery and work-winning activities. You will be expected to lead client meetings, provide senior advice and help strengthen our Victorian market presence, while remaining connected to a high-performing national team.

The Impact You'll Have

• Lead stakeholder and community engagement programs across major projects.
• Develop and implement engagement and communications strategies.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships across Victoria.
• Represent Fyfe in client meetings, workshops and consultation activities.
• Provide strategic advice on complex stakeholder and community engagement matters.
• Prepare, review and improve engagement documentation, reports and communications materials.
• Contribute to proposals, business development and work-winning activities.
• Mentor and support junior consultants within the team.
• Help grow Fyfe's engagement capability and market presence throughout Victoria.

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in stakeholder engagement, community engagement, communications or social impact consulting.
• Experience operating at Principal Consultant, Associate or comparable senior level.
• Strong client management and relationship-building capability.
• Demonstrated business development and work-winning experience.
• Exceptional written communication, bid-writing and report-review skills.
• Experience navigating complex or contentious stakeholder environments.
• The confidence and judgement to work independently and lead projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Victorian market, including Melbourne and surrounding or regional areas.
• An undergraduate and/or postgraduate qualification in communications, journalism, public relations or a related discipline.
• GEI (Graduate) of the Engagement Institute.
