The opportunity

Fyfe is seeking an Asset Planner - Wastewater to support a major strategic growth program. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the possibility of a further 6-month extension.

You will translate growth forecasts, government housing strategies, development activity and connection requirements into strategic asset planning outcomes. The role will assess network capability, identify infrastructure risks and constraints, and develop staged investment responses aligned with broader asset management frameworks.

What you'll do

• Translate growth into asset needs: Interpret development activity and growth forecasts to identify future wastewater infrastructure requirements.
• Develop strategic plans: Create servicing strategies and investment pathways across short, medium and long-term horizons.
• Assess constraints and risks: Identify capacity limitations, service risks, infrastructure gaps and the implications of investment timing.
• Plan infrastructure staging: Establish triggers and sequencing for growth-related infrastructure and broader network augmentation.
• Support investment decisions: Contribute to business cases and investment proposals for growth-related infrastructure.
• Advise on connections: Provide strategic asset planning input into significant development and customer connection enquiries.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
• Sound understanding of asset management principles
• Experience in wastewater asset planning, infrastructure planning, network planning or strategic planning
• Experience translating growth forecasts into infrastructure requirements and investment strategies
• Understanding of wastewater networks and system behaviour
• Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
