Job Description

FuntoNetwork is seeking a highly skilled Senior Magento AWS Cloud Engineer with expertise in Terraform to design, build, and manage secure, scalable, and high-performance marketplace platforms for our clients. In this role, you will architect end-to-end solutions using Magento Commerce on AWS, automated through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.

You will work directly with enterprise clients to migrate, optimize, and secure their Magento-based marketplaces in the cloud, ensuring compliance, resilience, and cost-efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage Magento 2 Commerce on AWS using Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Design and implement highly available, multi-region AWS architectures for Magento (EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch).
• Build and maintain Terraform modules for Magento infrastructure, including VPC, security groups, ALB, Auto Scaling, and CloudFront distributions.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Magento using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins integrated with Terraform.
• Ensure security and compliance (PCI-DSS, GDPR) through AWS WAF, Shield, KMS, IAM policies, and Magento security patches.
• Optimize Magento performance on AWS using caching (Redis/Varnish), CDN (CloudFront), and database tuning.
• Monitor system health with AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, or Datadog; set up alerts and automate responses.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement microservices and serverless extensions (Lambda, API Gateway) for marketplace features.
• Provide client-facing consulting on cloud migration, cost optimization, and best practices for Magento on AWS.

Required Technical Stack & Skills

1. Magento:

• Magento 2 Commerce (Cloud/On-Prem)
• Custom module development, theme integration, and API extensions
• Performance optimization, caching strategies, and security hardening

2. AWS:

• Core: EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache (Redis), S3, CloudFront, VPC
• Security: IAM, KMS, WAF, Shield, Secrets Manager, Config
• DevOps: CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CloudWatch, Systems Manager

3. Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Terraform (mandatory) for provisioning and managing AWS resources
• Experience with Terraform modules, state management, and workspaces

4. Supporting Technologies:

• Linux administration (Ubuntu, Amazon Linux)
• PHP, Composer, NGINX/Apache
• MySQL/Aurora, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Docker, ECS/EKS (optional but preferred)
• Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD tools

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Magento development and administration.
• 3+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering.
• 2+ years of Terraform experience in production environments.
• Proven experience deploying and managing Magento on AWS at scale.
• Strong understanding of PCI-DSS compliance for e-commerce platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
• Ability to work in a client-facing, consulting role with strong communication skills.
