The Procurement Manager will work closely with various stakeholders, including Heads of Business Units and Senior Management, Project Managers, IT teams, and suppliers to ensure the procurement framework is efficient and effective from a speed, cost, and risk perspective.
The role will work collaboratively with local management teams to identify opportunities and implement solutions to enable the overall delivery of Fujitsu's solutions. You will also act as the SME on procurement policies & procedures to ensure the business operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies across Australia and New Zealand to support organisational priorities and objectives.
- Partner with business units and senior leaders as a trusted advisor to identify opportunities and improve commercial outcomes.
- Build and manage a sustainable savings pipeline through spend analysis, category management and market insights.
- Lead sourcing processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, supported by financial and cost modelling to inform decision‑making and optimise value.
- Manage end‑to‑end supplier relationships, including contracting, negotiations and ongoing performance management.
- Ensure best‑value outcomes through strong procurement governance, effective risk mitigation and continuous improvement in procurement practices.
About you:
Essential:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Sound knowledge of procurement governance, sourcing strategies and supplier management frameworks.
- Demonstrated contract negotiation and contract management capability.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leaders.
- Well‑developed analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to assess cost structures and financial implications.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills for analysis, reporting, and executive‑level presentations.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify savings opportunities, prioritise initiatives and balance strategic objectives with operational delivery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Desirable:
- Experience managing large-scale outsourcing agreements or major commercial contracts.
- Experience supporting major bid processes, commercial proposals, or business case evaluations.
- Qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting or Economics
